Pine Beach Shoot Out

Open to professionals and amateurs alike, participants can qualify by paying a $50 entry fee and playing a round on Pine Beach East or Pine Beach West (or both). Players can qualify as often as they like.  All players will play at scratch with no handicaps.  Qualifying will run from April 20 to September 3, 2008.  “The low 36 scores and ties from each course will play in the Shootout in September”, says Chris Foley, Madden's PGA professional.  “The championship will consist of 18 holes on Pine Beach East and 18 holes on Pine Beach West.  In the event of a tie for first place, the winner will be determined by a sudden death play off.”

Pine Beach $10,000 Shootout

  • Qualifying rounds may be played through Labor Day Weekend. Participants can qualify on Pine Beach East, Pine Beach West or both.
  • Players can qualify as many times as they like.
  • Open to professionals and amateurs
  • Entry fee $50 per round plus green fee and cart fee if applicable.
  • All players will play at scratch, no handicaps.
  • Qualifying will run from the opening of the season until Labor Day.
  • The low 36 qualifying scores and ties on Pine Beach East and the low 36 qualifying scores and ties on Pine Beach West will qualify for the Shootout Championship on September 14, 2008.  The championship will consist of 36 holes with 18 holes being played on Pine Beach East and 18 holes on Pine Beach West.  The championship purse will be awarded to first, second, and third place.
  • The championship will be limited to the low 36 scores and ties from each course.  If a player has more that one score that is among the low 36, each of those scores would qualify.  
  • In the event of a tie for first place in the Shootout Championship the winner will be determined by a sudden death playoff.
  • The purse will be awarded as follows:
      *1st - $7000
      *2nd - $2000
      *3rd - $1000
  • Professionals will be awarded cash.  Amateurs will win a $750 in gift certificate with the balance of the prize being donated to the charity of the winner's choice in their name.
  • USGA Rules will govern all play.
  • Players must enter event prior to a qualifying round.
  • Championship round will be held on September 14, 2008.  Qualifiers will be contacted by email on September 7, 2008 and must register by September 10, 2008.
  • Employees of Madden Brothers Inc. are not eligible
